Capital City — A Poem

People are just moving about
Not seeing each other
Lost in their own thoughts, just moving.
Fascinating, just fascinating,
They just keep moving, I don’t know where.

Capital city
It’s got its legs
Moving people about
Busy roaming in the sun’s heat,
Lost to themselves, I keep watching.

New buildings have risen,
They were not there before,
A sure sign the city’s moving
Man’s a busy insect
(Lucky, he’s not an ant)
Capital city,
He is now your slave.

Capital city,
Man made you,
Now he’s your slave.
Capital city, Capital city,
You got to be proud,
Capital city.
